The Kentuckian, 1955

In 1820, Big Eli (Burt Lancaster) and his son decide to leave Kentucky to start a new life in Texas. Before reaching their destination, they stop in the village, where Eli's older brother lives, and then certain difficulties arise. Despite being a great hunter, Eli finds no opportunities. He also has an altercation with the sheriff, who locks him up in prison.
